Laura & Marc
Axnoller Wedding Film
“I’M VERY LUCKY TO HAVE MET SUCH A KIND, CARING AND GORGEOUS GIRL. THE FACT THAT I FOUND YOU IN READING STILL SURPRISES ME”
Marc and Laura held their wedding in the beautiful country grounds of Axnoller in Dorset. They were surrounded by friends and family, many of which travelled far and wide to celebrate with the newly married Mr & Mrs Sargent-Parratt.
Axnoller is surrounded by rolling hills, horse paddocks and quaint hedge-lined lanes. The grounds of Axnoller itself contains a specially built space for the ceremony and reception, a marquee, and a collection of English country houses, where the bride and groom were getting prepared in the morning of the wedding day.
The morning was clear and the sunlight was flooding the dining room, where Laura and her bridesmaids were getting prepared. The hairdressers and make up artists were helping the ladies getting ready, who laughed and enjoyed pastries.
The groomsmen were taking an even more relaxed approach and were drinking beers in the hot tub outside the house where the groomsmen were staying.
Marc and Laura took a contemporary approach to their wedding, which started with a “first look”. Marc awaited Laura, who walked down the stairs in her flowing, laced wedding dress.
The incredibly talented photographer, Ria Mishaal, took Laura and Marc to one of the courtyards to take some photos and then left the couple to make their way to the ceremony.
Laura and Marc walked down the aisle together, preceded by the groomsmen and bridesmaids. The celebrant led the ceremony and the bride and groom lit candles to represent the start of their shared lives together.
The ceremony came to a close and the couple walked back up the aisle as husband and wife to music from their live band. Guests made their way to the marquee in the large courtyard outside the ceremony room and enjoyed canapes and champagne.
A while later, the wedding party made their way to reception room, where the tables were laid with cutlery, white flower arrangements (from Beaminster Flowers) and keepsakes including sloe gin miniatures. The guests took their seats and enjoyed the meal served by the friendly team at Axnoller.
After the meal, one of the ushers announced the start of the speeches from the Mother of the Bride, the Groom and the best man.
“I’m very lucky to have met such a kind, caring and gorgeous girl. The fact that I found you in Reading still surprises me”. Marc’s speech struck a great balance of humour and affection. The Mother of the Bride and Groom also delivered wonderful speeches.
After the speeches, the sloe gin miniatures were enjoyed along with Polaroid cameras and challenges for the guests to enjoy. The cake cutting came soon after, followed by a well choreographed dance by Marc and Laura. Friends and family took photographs and started dancing when the couple gestured them to join the dance floor.
Laura and Marc – it was a pleasure documenting your wedding day, and I wish you success and happiness in your new lives together.
